Fifteen (15) Saint Lucian designers are preparing to dazzle the audience at Export The Runway
2. The signature fashion show that infuses fashion, music, and other aspects of Saint Lucian culture is being organised by Export Saint Lucia for a second consecutive year. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5th from 7:30 pm at Royalton Saint Lucia
“Export Saint Lucia is entrusted with increasing the value and volume of exports in all sectors - including fashion. When we conceptualised and produced Export The Runway in 2022, creating opportunities for our designers after the show ended was a priority. We are pleased to report that since the first showing, six (6) featured designers are now on the shelves at Sea Island Cotton Shop, while several more are available at the Taste of Saint Lucia Store. This year, we’re building on the successes of Export The Runway 1 while adding more spectacle, glamour and entertainment.”, remarks Sunita Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of Export Saint Lucia.
This year’s cohort of designers includes participants from the first edition of Export The Runway, new up-and-coming Saint Lucian designers, and two (2) regional designers. Saint Lucian musicians, dancers, models, and other creatives will collaborate to produce a spectacular fashion show.
“The team at Export Saint Lucia is extremely excited to share a grander version of Export The Runway with the Saint Lucian public On top of that, this year, we’ve made it easy for audience
members to purchase pieces fresh off the runway at a trunk show that will immediately follow the catwalk. Export The Runway is truly a can’t-miss activity on the national calendar of events and we are grateful to those who have made it possible,” shares Ms. Daniel.
Export The Runway 2 has received significant support from corporate Saint Lucia, with Presenting Partners LUCELEC and The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, alongside Gold Sponsors: The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, CIP, Bank of Saint Lucia, 1st National Bank, Sagicor, 1st Citizens Investment Services Ltd, Sea Island Cotton Shop, Saint Lucia Distillers, Wilrock and Royalton Saint Lucia.
