In support of Diabetes Awareness Month, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs is thrilled to introduce the No Sweet Tooth Challenge.
Led by the Dental Services Unit, the month-long initiative aims to inspire all to choose healthier, low-sugar options and build long-lasting, nutritious habits. Each week brings a new goal focused on reducing sugar intake and making choices that benefit our health. Whether it’s swapping out sugary drinks, choosing whole fruits over processed sweets, or learning how to spot hidden sugars, the No Sweet Tooth Challenge is designed to make the journey engaging, manageable, and rewarding.
Here’s why you should join:
- Support Diabetes Prevention: Small changes make a big difference, and this is a great way to promote diabetes awareness and prevention.
- Be a Wellness Ambassador: By embracing healthier options, you contribute to a more vibrant, health-conscious workplace culture.
- Inspire Each Other: Take on the challenge together! Share tips, encourage your colleagues, and make the journey to wellness fun and motivating.
Get ready to kick off Week One (Nov. 11 - 17) of the No Sweet Tooth Challenge. This week’s challenge: Replace all sugar-sweetened drinks with water, and skip the sugar in your coffee, tea, and other beverages. Let’s make every sip count toward better health!
Remember to share your progress. Post your photos and videos using #nosweettoothchallenge_slu and inspire others to join in!
