The Department of the Public Service will host its fourth Annual Inter-Agency Football Tournament as part of activities commemorating United Nations Public Service Day, observed globally on June 23.

The tournament will run from June 9 to June 12, and will conclude on June 14. All matches will be held at the Beausejour Indoor Facility, starting at 6 p.m. nightly.

This year’s tournament is being held under the theme: “Effective Leadership and Unity through Teamwork.” Twelve teams—each consisting of 12 players—will participate in the event.

Tournament Coordinator, Mr. Shervon Mitchell, described the event as a unique opportunity for public officers to engage in friendly competition, showcase their skills, and build camaraderie across departments.

“We’re eagerly anticipating this year’s tournament, and many of the teams have already been actively preparing,” Mitchell said. “We encourage all public officers—as well as members of the public across the island—to come out and support the teams. It promises to be an exciting and high-energy event.”
