Entrepot Health Centre Providing Better Health Care

The Entrepot Wellness Centre is now open following recent renovations.

Refurbishments included improved ventilation by the replacement and installation of new windows , in addition to roofing adjustments.

According to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ms. Cointha Thomas these undertakings were made possible with the help of several agencies.

“ This project was made possible through the combined efforts of the department of Economic Planning and National Development. The Project Coordination Unit, provided the coordination of project activities, the Ministry of Infrastructure provided technical assistance, the World Bank provided the financing to the tune of approximately $277 000.”

Minister for Health, Honourable Alvina Reynolds says the rehabilitation of the nearly 20 year old facility is part of government's vision and continued strides to providing quality health care.

“The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Human Services and Gender Relations is committed to improving access for all residents to quality health care services, in a comfortable, safe and conducive environment. That's why today we are pleased to be able to re-open this newly renovated facility to continue the delivery of health care to the residents of Entrepot and surrounding communities in the Castries East Constituency.”

The Entrepot Wellness Centre, provides a range of health services and is the only health centre within the Castries region offering the hearing health care programme.
